EdTech Tool of the Week (4/21/21)

Google Sites is a structured wiki- and web page-creation tool offered by Google. In other words, it’s Google’s version of a website builder. I love how user-friendly Google Sites is: there is absolutely no coding involved whatsoever.
Building a website is as easy as dragging and dropping, selecting a theme, and importing multimedia elements. Because it is a Google product, it also syncs perfectly with Docs, Slides, Sheets, and more.
Creating a well-designed website couldn’t be easier with Google Sites. While I don’t recommend using it as a website builder for projects outside of school, it is a great educational tool for students 5th grade and up.
One other important thing to note is that Google Sites is currently only available as a web application, meaning that students need access to a computer to use the tool.
So try it out! Let me know what you think.
